I enjoy ALL the different post categories. I would enjoy reading what you had to say on pretty much any topic, and I hope you will post just as often as you like!
Your newsletter is the finest publication on communication—It's got something for pros and pedants. Always informative, entertaining, and frequently funny.
It would be perfect, were it not for your tolerance of "only" in the wrong position in sentences.
Is it bad that I've never noticed before that you post on Monday and Thursday regularly?? I wish I could unlearn that so that I could go back to being surprised and delighted to see "ooh, Nancy posted! What a rare treat!"
I like Naming Briefs and your take on Brand Names but everything is interesting and usually hilarious. I don't know how you do it, but keep 'em coming.
I voted for naming briefs, but word(s) of the week/month was a close second.
Also, words and language covers a lot in my mind, so easy and general choice. I also love reading what you write about brand names snd naming stuff (once I was called upon to name a font, which I found rather nerve-wracking as it was an unexpected assignment).
Proud to be among the 29% outside the US! (not Morocco, though)
I very much enjoy the newsletter. The origins of chemical name seems less interesting but maybe there's a fun story sometimes. But then again, now I'm reading 'The Disappearing Spoon' which is all about the oddities/stories of the development of the periodic table.
It's a treat to see how the hard rules of words and languages have evolved over the years.
I clicked "words and language," but I don't think there's any category of post I'd be uninterested in from you.
Wow, thanks!
I voted for words and language, but also love your posts about brand names.
Thanks, Mason!
was there a question about paypal? if it was there and i missed it, chalk it up to diminishing brain cells.
Not a question, but at the end of the “wankpanzer" post I included a link to chip in via PayPal. No one accepted the challenge. https://fritinancy.substack.com/p/word-of-the-week-wankpanzer
I love reading anything you post :) thanks as well for introducing me to most of my favourite substacks!
Thanks, Janelle!

Thanks, HQ!
I voted for words of the week/year, but I also love naming briefs!
Thanks, Susan! More WOTW and naming briefs coming soon.

Thanks, and ouch.

Now I'm definitely going to switch things up.
Congrats Nancy! Love everything I read and wish I had time to read every word. Keep it coming ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks, Pia! Were you among the 18 percent who requested "fewer mailings"? I'm taking that vote seriously!
Only because no time to read all your great work — I feel guilty! 😂

Aww, thanks, Gaylord!
I like your deep dives and shopping trips best. Also enjoy the link fest.
Noted! Any excuse to go shopping!

Thanks, Caroline! Yes, name development is not for the faint of heart or the easily discouraged.

Thanks for your sleuthing.
Thank you, Paul!
I'm happy to read any and all of the content types listed!
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
Followed from your website and love to read my favs on substack.
Although I voted for more posts, that's just my greedy side saying I really enjoy your stuff.
Thanks, heydave!
I'm too new to the newsletter to know what's a regular feature, so I'll just sit back and enjoy what comes. :)
Ooh, surprises await!
