OMG. Such a brilliant takedown on so many levels! So fun to read.

Here’s a cheaper, truly climate-friendly alternative to Kim’s petroleum product: slice off the end of a lemon. Squeeze the juice into your favorite cocktail or onto your avocado toast. Hollow out the flesh and compost it (that’s the climate-friendly part). Then slip the lemon nip into your favorite bra and voila! Citrus-y erect.

(Disclaimer: Never tried this myself but let’s just say I’ve seen it done.) 😜

And so fragrant, too!

I recently purchased a shirt online that turned out to be tighter across the bust than I had anticipated. As a result, my nipples, such as they are, are fairly prominently displayed--too prominently displayed, I had thought, for any professional setting, but now I see that I will be proudly fighting climate change by wearing it. That, at least, is what I plan to tell HR when the time comes.

"Content warning: Nipples" is really funny.

I worked on a comment using "titular" in a clever way, but I failed.

Very titillating, Dan!

I enjoyed reading this, Nancy. Have you watched Arrested Development? This bra reminds me of Kitty and her travelling nipples 😝.

Car bras (covers that protect the finish on the front of cars) used to be big. And I think they're still hemi-popular.

"KarBra" would be a natural line extension for the Kardashians. It might be tough to create a nipple feature for this auto after-market item, keeping abreast of fashion.

I once tried to name a bra Bravado. Client was not amused.

Curious where you got the info that these bras are made of Petroleum based products? Thanks!

Polyurethane foam, polyester, and spandex don't grow on trees—they're made from petroleum byproducts. https://www.cottonique.com/blogs/blog/4-petroleum-based-fabrics-you-should-avoid

Thank you! So are there ANY bras that don’t use these products? I can’t imagine anything that doesn’t need spandex. And if they all do then it’s kind of a good thing to at least use some proceeds toward a related cause, no? 10 percent of her initial sales could be meaningful.

There are plenty of bras made of cotton or silk as an alternative. And plenty of brands that don't do such an obvious greenwashing and seem more genuine in their intentions. Organic Basics, La Fille d'O, Fleur du Mal are just a few that come to my mind but I'm sure there are plenty others.

I can't imagine a bra in cotton or silk doing what I need a bra to do! And I have to say, I admire many things that she tries to do. But I hear you!
