I loved You Hurt My Feelings—Julia Louis Dreyfus’s, what a treasure.

By the way, Susan Orleans’ book was The Orchid Thief, not Adaptation— that was the name of the movie made by adapting The Orchid Thief.

Rebecca Solnit's "In the Shadow of Silicon Valley" is a compelling, sobering read.

The tech titans, their products and ideology are turning most metro areas into a paradoxical kind of provincialism. I can't feel smug about living in Minneapolis.
