Off the point, but today's NYT has the word "fedsurrection" in a story about Jan. 6 rioters who believe they've been unfairly treated. Apparently this is a word they've been using for a while. Happy New Year!

Thanks, Jan! Yes, it's been in use for at least four years.

So great - and a great idea...might have to steal this for a sporadic newsletter update of my own ;)

Always entertaining and informative! And YES! JSX is my first choice now for short flights. So easy.

Interesting photos.

TIL: FILOLI meaning.

Brand name question not related to the photos: Alaskan Airlines & Hawaiian Airlines merged and created ATMOS Rewards

Nancy Friedman's avatar

What's the question?

I have flown a lot on HA and have their credit card. Also flown on AA. AA bought HA, but both announced it as no name changes and everything stays the same. And now Atmos rewards, which seems like a strange name to me

What are your thoughts on the brand-name of ATMOS?

Nancy Friedman's avatar

I assume it's a clipping of "atmosphere." Lofty, classical-sounding.
